How’s it going?

Whether or not you consider yourself a planner, you would probably acknowledge that having a plan, even if it’s a rough one, can be helpful in creating a successful outcome.

Spontaneity and “going with the flow” is important, after all flexibility is a key component of planning, but without a thoughtful, intentional game plan, you may feel unsatisfied with the path your life is taking.

This can be particularly true when we reach a post-career (“work optional”) phase of life when some of the long-established structure and focus of our life changes.

Life is never set-it-and-forget-it, it’s an ongoing design project that is always evolving and best served if we stay curious about what it could look like next. Your well-lived life is a unique and personal journey, shaped by your values, interests and circumstances.

As a Licensed Associate of the Rethinking Retirement program, I’m excited to help others navigate how they look at and live life. This program is a focused approach to life design that combines coaching conversations with reflection and active planning in 4 core areas of the post-career transition - Contribution, Wellbeing, Connection and Purpose. It can help us create greater awareness and retirement readiness, broaden our perspective, thrive through change and deepen our understanding and appreciation for ourselves at this wiser stage of life.

If you need a change but are not sure how to go about getting it, want a more balanced and engaged life in retirement or are looking to smooth your transition forward, maybe some structured and focussed coaching would be a good investment.

What are you being pulled toward? What do you want to grow into? How’s it going?
